In 1997 I graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelors in Telecommunication. I had little to no idea what I wanted to do. I just knew it would involve music. So like many struggling musicians, I got a job out of the music field...as an audio engineer at NASA. As cool as it sounds, after three years I was spent. But not before I rediscovered my musical passion through working with an Astronaut on his post-flight mission video.
I left NASA and over the next six years I worked on my Masters in Music Composition while cutting my teeth on large-scale orchestral recording with the Houston Symphony. I thought I was getting a degree to be a composer. Little did I know it was molding me for my future career as a producer and recording engineer.
Since 2007, I have been recording , producing, and composing for fantastic projects. It was through the study of composition that I learned to listen and communicate with musical artists in a way many others can not. Small or large groups, classical or contemporary music, I absolutely love the collaboration.
I am honored to work with a team of talented producers and engineers...after all...no one person can do it all themselves. That is why I formed Crescendo Recording and Media Production, LLC. It's a collections of some of the finest (a future finest) ears for classical music in Texas. Together we are comprised of Grammy, Peabody, and Telly Award winning producers, engineers, and composers.
